David H. Yang of LIN LLC organized and led the discussion in a panel session titled “Navigating Geopolitical Risks in the Trump Era: A Cross-Border Legal Perspective”.

The panel featured the following speakers: Jeongmin Kim (Executive Director, Korea Risk Group), Woojin Shin (Partner, Nelson Mullins), David MacArthur (Partner, Yulchon), Dmitry Letunov (Partner, Lee & Ko), and Bagyasree Nambron (Bracewell LLP).
The panel emphasized that, in today’s rapidly changing geopolitical risk environment, it is essential to move beyond the mere interpretation of law and develop a strategic understanding of the political context in which laws are enforced, as well as of supply chains, corporate structures, and international partnerships. It further noted that, as a result, the role of the international lawyer is evolving from that of a reactive advisor who analyzes and responds to given situations to that of a proactive risk manager who anticipates and addresses potential threats in advance.
