After joining Kim & Chang in 1999, Attorney Yong Gap Kim worked in the Intellectual Property Rights Team for 19 years, providing legal advice on various matters and handling cases on patents, copyrights, trademark rights, unfair competition, and trade secret. As a member of the Japan Team of Kim & Chang, Attorney Kim actively managed the tasks on disputes relating to Japanese firms.
Attorney Kim has also performed as a generalist by representing the major international and domestic corporations in coping with the legal issues that the corporations face through collaboration with the experts in diverse areas. In November of 2017, Attorney Kim retired from Kim & Chang and worked at Segye Law Firm for one year. In January 2019, Attorney Kim has joined Law Firm LIN, working to form and to strengthen the capabilities of the Intellectual Property Rights Team and the Japan Team.
