Police Investigation Response
Police Investigation Response
Overview
Initial investigation response has a significant impact on the entire process of statements, document submissions, and search and seizure. At the police investigation stage, understanding the facts and securing defense rights are of paramount importance. If the initial strategy is insufficient, unnecessary misunderstandings and risks can escalate. For corporate cases, internal communication and evidence management systems must operate in tandem. LIN's Investigation Response team manages the direction of cases through swift and accurate initial responses.
Key Services

Accompaniment during suspect/witness interrogations and development of statement strategies

Response to search and seizure (on-site response, challenging the scope of seized items, and voluntary submission)

Factual investigation and submission of rebuttal materials and written opinions

Establishment of internal corporate reporting/response systems and risk management for officers and employees

Reporting agency for complaints/accusations and monitoring of investigation progress

Key Experience

1. Pre-arrest suspect interviews

  • In a case where police had been investigating corruption for about a year and applied for an arrest warrant on charges of embezzlement and bribery, we argued at the prosecution stage and had the warrant rejected; when the police applied for a detention warrant on the same charges a year later, we argued again at the prosecution's pre-arrest suspect interview process and had it rejected again, and then filed a complaint against the relevant police officers for abuse of authority

  • In a case where a person was accused of fraud against a nominal owner for selling a repaired vehicle, when police applied for a detention warrant, we argued during the prosecution's pre-arrest suspect interview process that evidence was insufficient and had the warrant rejected, then reconstructed the victim as a capital company and handled the investigation response
