After passing the National Court Administration Higher Civil Service Examination and the Korean Bar Examination, Mr. Lee worked as a court official in the Judicial Branch for 17 years. He was in charge of judicial affairs, matters related to the performance of state litigation for the duties of judges and court officials, and matters related to the improvement of systems for civil affairs in general.
As the duties of judges were shared with judicial assistant officials by the implementation of the judicial assistant official system, he was the first attorney to be appointed as judicial assistant official. He oversaw various procedures prescribed by the Judicial Assistant Official Regulations, such as compulsory execution and demand procedures, for 7 years.
