The Serious Accidents Response Center provides a full-cycle response framework covering prevention, incidents, investigation, and disputes, in the heightened accountability environment following the enactment of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act. Recognizing that the quality of the initial response when an accident occurs determines the direction of subsequent investigations and trials, we operate a One Team collaborative approach focused on immediate response. Because serious accident issues are complex matters combining criminal, labor, field, and evidentiary elements, organic collaboration with related specialist organizations is a prerequisite. In ordinary times, we review companies' safety and health obligation compliance and, where necessary, extend that work through to improvement of internal compliance, reducing risk. After an accident, we manage the legal and managerial burdens companies face in an integrated manner, including the sensitive procedures of investigation response and consultation with bereaved families.
