Kun Wook LEE began his legal career in 1998 as a prosecutor at the Nambu Branch of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office. After leaving the prosecution, he joined Kim, Choi & Lim in 2000, where he provided corporate legal and M&A advisory services. In 2003, he founded Daeji Law and served as its Managing Partner from 2006 to 2025.
During his tenure as Managing Partner, he provided legal counsel and handled litigation for major real estate-related public entities such as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), Korea Expressway Corporation, and Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG). He also handled various legal matters as a legal counsel for numerous corporations, including SK Inc. and Doosan Corp. Furthermore, he has achieved significant defense outcomes, including acquittals, representing suspects and defendants in special investigation cases (such as professional breach of trust) handled by the prosecution’s special units. He also served as a legal counsel for local governments, including Goyang-si and Geumcheon-gu. Notably, as a legal counsel for the Sinbanpo 1st Reconstruction Association and Banpo 1st Complex 3rd District Reconstruction Association, he played a vital role in their successful reconstruction projects. He also handled cases involving claims for compulsory sale, claims for eviction, and land expropriation adjudication for the Bupyeong Galsan 1st District Redevelopment Association and Bupyeong Apartment Reconstruction Association. Moreover, he successfully rehabilitated numerous companies, including the listed company Histostem, through corporate rehabilitation applications and approvals, and handled various corporate bankruptcy proceedings. He has also contributed numerous legal columns as a real estate columnist for Premium Chosun Ilbo and a guest columnist for Money Today the L.
