Attorney Kyung Oh Chung performed tasks relating to Information and Communications Technology (ICT) at public institutions as the Director of the Deliberation Bureau of the Information and Communications Ethics Committee, as the Expert Member of the Korea Communications Standards Commission, as the Research Member of the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI), and others. Attorney Chung has handled tasks on enacting and amending ICT-related statutes, such as the Special Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Technology, Vitalization of Convergence Thereof, etc. (Special Act on ICT), the Mobile Device Distribution Improvement Act, the Three-Dimensional Printing Industry Promotion Act, the Telecommunications Business Act, the Broadcasting Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc., and others. He participated in evaluating the M&A deals of numerous key telecommunications service providers and broadcasting companies and also in examining the broadcasting companies’ license renewals and re-approvals. He also examined the eligibility of new mobile communications company. After opening a law office in 2014, Attorney Chung has served as an Advisor or a Legal Advisor in the Korea Communications Commission, the Personal Information Protection Commission, the National Information Society Agency, and Arirang TV. He has provided legal advice and performed tasks on litigations relating to public institutions such as KISDI and Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), broadcasting companies, telecommunications companies, and other private enterprises. Currently, as an Attorney at Law of Law Firm LIN, Attorney Chung serves and contributes to the regulatory innovation of the government and the growth of the 기업(firm) by providing legal advice and performing tasks on litigations relating to the public sector, e.g., government institutions and public institutions, and the private sector, e.g., broadcasting companies and telecommunications companies.
